Following a major survey of our users last month, consultations with our development sites and a recent review of the results, CIRIS Healthcare has finalised its plans for developing CIRIS beyond the current generation.

It was about this time last year that the CIRIS compliance management service was launched. Since that time over 100 NHS Trusts in England have joined. About the same time, we started design work on what we call ‘the Next Generation CIRIS’.

The term ‘Next Generation’ reflects what it is intended to be – a significant advance designed to take compliance management to the next level. The Next Generation will be enabled by a major platform re-engineering effort that we initiated more than three years ago under a prestigious DTI SMART award for technological innovation and that is now approaching completion.

The Next Generation is scheduled for release later this year. We will ensure as far as is practicable that existing data will be automatically ported to the new platform. The details of the migration will be reported closer to the time of release. Volume based pricing will be introduced to facilitate wider organisational roll-out.
