Can you cope?

NICE compliance is a requirement of CQC provider registration. This is a more demanding compliance regime than under Standards for Better Health, with the real prospect of fines for non-compliance.

As at 7 July 2010, there are 900 NICE guidance documents containing 15,160 individual recommendations! What’s more, there are a dozen NICE guidance documents coming off the production line every month!

If you have silos of information, with NICE information being in one system, audits in another and projects in another, you will be routinely entering the same data over and over again. Producing the required reports for the different stakeholders is then time-consuming and tedious.

When you need to gather evidence, if all of it is scattered across the organisation in network folders owed by different departments, you’ll be spending time tracking down documents when you can be doing productive work.

NICE guidance which is under development is also pre-populated so that you can plan for the future and avoid the last minute rush.
You are able to do your assessments and action plans at service level as well as organisation level.
You are able to keep records of all non-applicable guidance for assurance purposes.
Clinicians can receive email alerts of applicable NICE Guidance and do their assessments online.
Assessments at service level can be aggregated up the organisation structure.

You are able to show your compliance position, the assurance level, the risk level, the associated action plan, and the latest progress – all in one report.
All of your documentation for an implementation project can be brought together into one shareable location.
You are able to set up committees to monitor the compliance position and then keep records of all of their discussions and decisions regarding NICE guidance for assurance purposes.
You are able to manage the internal approval process for interventional procedures and link this with the relevant NICE Guidance.
